Lyndhurst

Our show site (from 1973 - 2009) was Lyndhurst in Tarrytown, New York, a National Trust Historic site.  The picturesque mansion overlooking the Hudson River is one of America's finest Gothic revival mansions and is open for touring throughout the day.

In 2010 our show will be conducted at the North Branch Park in Bridgewater, NJ.

Where to stay in Tarrytown

Jay Gould Estate (Lyndhurst)

Originally a swamp, in 1838 the grounds were transformed into the 67-acre park to surround the fanciful estate built for William Paulding, former mayor of New York City and later occupied by railroad magnate Jay Gould.  The grounds feature historic specimen trees and shrubs dating from the mid-19th century amongst rolling lawns, a conservatory, and spectacular views of the Hudson River.

Please help us keep Lyndhurst clean and undamaged by making use of the ample exercise rings and trash containers available.  Consider supporting the "Save the Trees" Program and become a member of the "Friends of Lyndhurst." Information is available at the estate or by calling our Club office.  The Westchester Kennel Club is most appreciative of the continued support of our show by the Director, Mrs. Susanne Pandich and Staff of Lyndhurst.

Both guided and self-guided tours of the grounds and mansion are available throughout the day.  Hours and accessibility information.

The Carriage House Café, located down the hill from the mansion, serves a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, wine and beverages, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Also visit the Lyndhurst Museum Shop in the Carriage House which offers a variety of unique gifts and reproductions.
