Some Tips for Your First Show

* Note the time and your breed's ring number from the Judging Schedule.  Judges will not wait for you.

* Don't bring dogs which are not entered into the show.  The Westchester Kennel Show and many others have no provisions for them.  

* If you plan to park overnight at the show site, reserve a spot early.  These go fast.

* Things to make sure you bring:

• Rabies certificate- many shows require this, including the Westchester Kennel Club show.
• Dog crate and bedding for the dog to lie on.
• Folding grooming table.
• Tack bag or box for all your grooming supplies.
• Combs, scissors, and other grooming tools.
• Apron or smock.
• Outdoor extension cord.  Be sure to ask if any outlets are off-limits.
• Hair dryer (if needed).
• Necessary leads and collars.
• Your sense of humor.  Shows can be stressful, so remember to have fun!
